book titles
Often times, when I’m looking for a book I’ve heard of, I can remember part of the name, but not all of it. I’ll get the first word and hope the internets can lead me down the path my mind is failing to walk.
On a related note, I sometimes file covers away at work.
It’s amazing how much creativity authors lack when it comes to their title. Now, I understand the editor has some say in what goes on the cover of the book, and they want to attract an established audience.
And perhaps it’s because I work in an imprint that specializes in the novels you probably aren’t reading out in the world where people are going to judge you, and maybe it’s less of a problem with the more “intelligent” books.
But really, people. How many books do we need that start with “blood” or “death” or “werewolf”? Google is not going to help me find a book if all I can remember about it is “well, it started with Blood…and I think it had something to do with vampires.”
